California is a beautiful state to explore. From mountains to desert to the Pacific Ocean, California has just about every scene a person could want to see, which makes it the perfect place to take the family for an extended RV trip. If you need a little push to take the next step in planning your RV vacation, here are some great reasons that California is the perfect state for the RV enthusiast.

Finding Your New Home is Easy

Since the Golden State is such a great part of the country to go RVing you can find plenty of places that sell used RVs in California. Great brands like Heartland RV and Tiffin RV can be found for a fraction of the price that you would be able to purchase them new. You can find plenty of reputable used RV dealerships throughout the state of California, though you may find the biggest selection either on the South end of the state near San Diego or the far north of the state near San Francisco where many trips begin and end.

Scenery

You can’t beat California if you want to get to enjoy some beautiful scenery. If your RV is small enough (and if you’re brave enough), you can take in the Pacific Ocean from the Cliffside road of US-1. There’s plenty to see along the way with famous Yosemite Park being a major draw for RVers. Viewing the Golden Gate is always a must and San Diego is an RV-friendly city as well.

Surfing

California is almost synonymous with surfing and you’ll see why when exploring the coastline. There are so many miles of surf breaks that you’d be hard-pressed to explore all of them. If you’re a hardcore surfer you won’t be disappointed by what California has to offer, and if you just want to experience California’s famed surf culture, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for as well.

Variety

If you get bored exploring California, you’re doing something wrong. If you don’t want to check out the coastline, you can drive inland for an entirely different experience. There are mountains to be skied and strange desert topography to marvel at. There are quaint towns that are remnants from the gold rush that now serve apple pie and a good dose of history to interested tourists. There is also an almost unlimited assortment of outdoor activities to enjoy—or try for the first time.

No matter how you choose to spend your RVing vacation in California, make sure you have a great time and stay safe on the roads!
